The bible argues in Hebrews, without faith, it is impossible to please God, but those who come to him must believe that He is and is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him. The need for faith in the Christian journey can therefore not be overstated. However, there seems to be a lack of consensus on what constitutes faith for a believer. Often, faith is seen as the blind following of a strong belief. The more unlikely an event is, a belief in its possibility is considered as faith. With this view, reason is antithetical to Christianity for to believe in God will require a distrust in reason.
